The project involved an investment of 5.6 million euros and brought together more than 20 entities, including leading companies in the sector, universities and other research and innovation entities, whose work led to the development of new products, processes and services, largely supported by digital technologies, which contribute to reducing the risk of fire. The goal is to improve the management and decision-making processes of forestry and energy companies, introducing a high degree of innovation in integrated forest and fire management.<\/p>\n
Taking the results of this mobilizing project as a starting point, a debate will be promoted on innovation and technology in the forest in the era of digital transformation, the future of the forest and its contribution to the bioeconomy.<\/p>\n
In focus will be the technologies and strategies that enable the integrated management of forest and fire; new products, processes and services that contribute to reducing the risk of fire; and the impact on job creation and internationalization of companies in the sector.<\/p>\n
In an opportunity to discuss the challenges and solutions to boost the forestry sector, the event will also host a panel discussion with the participation of Jo\u00e3o Faria Concei\u00e7\u00e3o, COO of REN; Ant\u00f3nio Redondo, CEO of The Navigator Company; Jos\u00e9 Soares de Pina, CEO of Altri, SGPS; and Jos\u00e9 Manuel Bigares Careto, Chairman of the Executive Board of E-REDES.<\/p>\n
