The rePlant project, led by Navigator and ForestWise, has an investment of 5.6 million euros and involves 20 entities linked to the development of products and services that contribute to reducing the risk of fire.
“The project involved investment of 5.6 million euros and brought together more than 20 entities, including leading companies in the sector, universities and other research and innovation bodies, whose work led to the development of new products, processes and services, largely supported by digital technologies, which help reduce the risk of fire,” Navigator said in a statement.
According to the company, the aim of this project is to improve the management processes of forestry and energy companies, using innovation in forest and fire management.
The results of this project will be presented, on June 1st, at the Electricity Museum, in Lisbon, at the event “Digital Forest: Enter the next level”.
This session will also include a debate on innovation and technology in forestry, the future of the forest and its contribution to the bioeconomy, with presentations from REN, Navigator, Altri and E-Redes.
