The event “Digital Forestry: Take it to the next level”, which will take place on June 1, at 4pm, at the Electricity Museum (Tejo Power Plant), will present the results of three years of the rePlant project, whose aim is to enhance the value of Portuguese forests.

The projects for forest enhancement and fire management mobilized 20 entities, including leading companies in the sector, universities and other research and innovation entities, in an investment of 5.6 million euros, says Navigator in a statement.
The goal is to improve the management and decision-making processes of forestry and energy companies, introducing a high degree of innovation in integrated forest and fire management.
“Taking the results of this mobilizing project as a starting point, a debate will be promoted on innovation and technology in forestry in the era of digital transformation, the future of forestry and its contribution to the bioeconomy,” says Navigator, which says that “in the spotlight will be the technologies and strategies that enable integrated management of forestry and fire; new products, processes and services that contribute to reducing the risk of fire; and the impact on job creation and internationalization of companies in the sector.
The event will also host a panel discussion with the participation of João Faria Conceição, COO of REN; António Redondo, CEO of The Navigator Company; José Soares de Pina, CEO of Altri, SGPS; and José Manuel Bigares Careto, Chairman of the Executive Board of E-Redes.
