It’s called rePLANT and brings together 20 entities, as companies and universities, with the objective of value the Portuguese forest through the use of technologies and strategies that allow the integrated management of the forest and fire.
“This project comes within the ForestWISE Collaborative Laboratory, of which UTAD is associated and, being the main objective to contribute to a greater appreciation of the forest, increasing the value of its products and reducing the risks and impact of rural fires, we could not fail to be part of it”, explains Maria Emília Silva, professor at UTAD and coordinator of the project at that academy.
